The HIV League has supported/is supporting 105 students living with HIV with $375,000 of scholarship monies from Fall 2017 - Spring 2024


In the United States, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) individuals are more susceptible to HIV than their White counterparts. This is reflected in the racial and ethnic makeup of our Scholars as well

The HIV League recognizes the importance of the education of first-generation students, or students who are the first in their immediate family to receive at least a Bachelor’s degree. 64.7% of our Scholars are first-generation students


The HIV League is proud to support students living with HIV of all ages. Below is a graph that represents the ages of the HIV League Scholars when they applied to be for the HIV League Scholarship

At the time of applying, our Scholars lived across 25 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, Jamaica, and Nigeria


HIV affects people of all genders, and this is reflected among the HIV League Scholars as well

The HIV League has received 1092 scholarship applications, and we continue to work on increasing the amount of applications received every year
